OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT BY WOMEN IN BANKING AND FINANCE

WiBF is delighted to announce that Sangeeta Venkatesan, president of WiBF, will be conducting an exclusive interview with Michele Bullock, governor of the Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA).

Bullock, an esteemed Australian economist, made history by becoming the first woman to hold the role of governor of the RBA on 18 September 2023. Her insights and experiences one year into her new role will undoubtedly provide invaluable perspectives on the current and future of the industry in Australia.

Venkatesan is a prominent leader in the financial services industry and advocate for gender diversity, who currently serves on several boards, including Mercer Investments and SW Accountants and Advisors.

The conversation promises to be a highlight of the event, offering deep insights into the strides being made towards a more inclusive industry.

KangaNews Women in Capital Markets Yearbook

The KangaNews Women in Capital Markets Yearbook is published annually and seeks to amplify female voices and support female representation in the industry.

The very clear message KangaNews has received, through years of industry conversations, editorial work and conference discussions, is that demonstrating diversity rather than talking about it – a ‘show, not tell’ approach – is most likely to move the dial in gender equality in Australasian capital markets.

KangaNews aims to support this through its Women in Capital Markets Yearbook, published annually since 2020.

As well as amplifying female thought leadership through a range of cosponsored articles focused on segments of capital markets, the KangaNews Women in Capital Markets Yearbook aims to help connect women with peers and potential mentors, by providing information on a range of industry networks. It also contains the results of its annual Women in Capital Markets survey.
