Westpac New Zealand sets bank curve wider but hit fair value
Westpac New Zealand priced the first domestic bank deal of the year at the wide end of guidance and the secondary bank curve steepened after pricing, but the issuer says the deal reflected fair value in a reset market. Meanwhile, ANZ kept New Zealand bank issuance flow active with a substantial foray into the US dollar market.

Public issuance picked up in the second week of February, including activity in the ESG space: New South Wales Treasury Corporation priced its fourth green, social and sustainability bond while IDB Invest printed a green-bond Kangaroo. The market also received the year's second and third securitisation transactions.
